FIRMA-TAUX™
Argireline® - Studies have shown that the main ingredient ARGIRELINE®
in FIRMA-TAUX™ reduces the depth of wrinkles on the face caused by the

Stabilized Aloe Vera Gel (Aloe Barbadensis Miller) - The base
of the formula. When properly processed, acts as a humectant (a product
that helps to retain a good moisture content in the outer layers of skin
due to its affinity for water) and a skin conditioning agent / emollient
(a product that conditions and lubricates the skin and also adds a moisture
retentive aspect to the product of which it is a part)
Xanthan Gum - heteropolysaccharide gum. Acts as an emulsion
stabilizer and aqueous viscosity increasing agent
Carbomer - synthetic polymer that acts as an emulsion stabilizer
and aqueous viscosity increasing agent. pH dependent thickener
Advanced Moisture Complex - powerful water-binding mix of
polymers and humectants. It promotes exceptional absorption and retention
of water, and it helps prevent water loss by forming a barrier film on
the skin. During testing, researchers found a 30-43% increase in skin
hydration over a 6-hour period and 25% over a 24-hour period. Studies
are based on the individual ingredient
Methylparaben - ester of methyl alcohol and para-hydroxybenzoic
acid. Functions as a preservative
Tetrasodium EDTA (Tetrasodium Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetate)
- Chelating agent. Aid to manufacturing that binds loose ions. Also plays
a role in the degradation of a Gram-negative organism?s membrane; thus,
it has preservative properties
Glycereth-26 - humectant / skin conditioning agent
Panthenol (Provitamin B5) - conditioning agent
Ethoxydiglycol - solvent and viscosity decreasing agent. Used
to aid in product penetration
Allantoin - Skin Conditioning agent; Skin protectant with
anti-irritant properties extracted from aloe vera and comfrey
Diazolidinyl Urea - Preservative. Part of a synergistic preservative
system along with methyl- and propyl- parabens
Green Tea Extract - potent antioxidant properties
Ginseng Extract - Stimulating extract
Cucumber Extract - soothes the skin
Echinacea Extract - soothing
Polysorbate 20 - Acts as a solubilizing agent to keep certain
chemicals in solution
Tocopheryl Acetate - ester of Tocopherol and acetic acid.
Acts as an antioxidant and skin-conditioning agent. Also improves skin
elasticity
Vitamin A/D3 - Blend of Retinyl Palmitate and Cholecalciferol.
Both are excellent skin conditioning agents
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) - potent antioxidant and skin-conditioning
agent. Antioxidants help protect the skin from damaging UV rays by neutralizing
the effect of free radicals; thus, aiding in the inhibition of the formation
of wrinkles
Mucopolysaccharides - powerful humectant for skin moisturization
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein - acts as a film-former and skin
conditioning agent
Triethanolamine - pH adjuster. Used in conjunction with Carbomer
to increase viscosity
FD&C Red 40 - used as a product colorant

cells to the surface
Diazolidinyl Urea - preservative
Polysorbate 20 - solubilizing agent. In this case, used to
hold Retinyl Palmitate in solution
Retinyl Palmitate - ester of Retinol and palmitic acid. Functions
as a skin conditioning agent

Stearic Acid - fatty acid that acts as an emulsifying agent
C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate - ester with skin conditioning and emollient
properties
Avobenzone - sunscreen particularly effective at combating
UVA rays
Tetrasodium EDTA - chelating agent that is an aid to manufacturing.
Has preservative qualities as well.
Octyl Methoxycinnamate (Octinoxate) - sunscreen
Octyl Salicylate (Octisalate) - sunscreen
